As you arrive at the Safdurjung Railway station you would be welcomed traditionally as you complete the check in formalities. Move to your reserved cabin and settle in as the journey begins.

As the train chugs at the Pink City – Jaipur, also the land of Kachwaha kings, have your breakfast and disembark the train as we would proceed to visit the Amer Fort. Then, we would visit the City palace and enjoy an exhilarating elephant ride. Indulge in feeding and painting the caparisoned elephant as you enjoy a ride upon them. After lunch, go and visit the Jantar Mantar, built by Sawai raja Jai Singh owing to his interest in astronomy. You can also enjoy an excursion to the markets of Jaipur and buy souvenirs. You can also stay at the train to enjoy spa or a game of golf. Dine and stay at the train.

Today the maharaja Express would halt at the Sawai Madhopur station. As you have your royal breakfast, disembark the train and then move to visit the Ranthambhore national Park. Enjoy the wildlife safari at the park and spot various exotic flora and fauna. Thereafter, we would proceed to visit the ruined city of Fatehpur Sikri and upon arrival explore the erstwhile Mughal Capital. Visit the popular attraction of Sikri Fort there. Return to the Maharaja Express and stay at the train for the night.

Today as you disembark the train, visit the Taj Mahal, the white marble structure and also A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy your breakfast at the Taj Khema and enjoy the environment there. After the breakfast return to the Maharaja Express Luxury train, as it proceeds to Gwalior. Upon arrival, have your lunch at the luxurious train and visit the Gwalior Fort and the Saas Bahu temple or Jain Cave Sculpture. Enjoy the spa or go about the local markets. Dine and relax at the train.

The next destination of the train would be Khajuraho. Have breakfast on the Maharajas Express luxury train. As you arrive at station and then visit the Western Group of Monuments in Khajuraho. Then you can go for a rejuvenating spa session at the train and then attend the son et lumiere at Khajuraho Temple Complex and then return to the train. Stay and dine there.

This day would be dedicated to Varanasi as the train halts here. This holy city is the hub of Hindu and Buddhist sites. As you arrive there we would visit the Silk weaving center and have an insight. Then proceed to the hotel for lunch. As you complete your lunch we would visit the famous Buddhist pilgrimage site of Sarnath and then visit the Ghats of Ganges for evening Arti. Retire to the train for the night. Dine and relax.

The train would today halt at the city of Nawabs – Lucknow as the breakfast will be served on the train. Explore the city as you visit the Rumi darwaza and the Bada Imambara. Later, indulge in a cocktail lunch at the Taj Hotel. Return to the train as you have your lunch. The luxuries of the train doesn’t end here as you will in the evening, enjoy the “Indian Evening” as you have a sneak peek in to the vibrant cultural heritage of India. Dine at the train and stay for the night.
