In the weekend tour from Mumbai to Pune we will get a punch of some historical knowledge. We would also be visiting the museums and the temples which are of high value and attraction.
In the first day of the journey we will be driving to Pune from Mumbai in a private cab. As we reach the place we will be checking in the hotel for some rest and food, not late to start with the day. Today will be half day sightseeing to the very famous Aga Khan Palace, it is one of the most historic and majestic monument of the state Maharashtra.
Then we would be heading toward another place from historical books, Shanivar Wada. Its foundation was kept by the Bajirao in late 1700’s it is said that the foundation of the fort was kept on Saturday (called shaniwar in Hindi) We will also visit Lal Mahal and Ganpati temple. Evening free for you to enjoy. Night stay in the hotel.
In the morning after breakfast we will be visiting the left over places of the historic town they would be namely: Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, it is a beautiful museum in the heart of the city, it has paintings and sculptures even items dating back to 12 th 13 th and 14 th century.
Then we would leave to see Chaturshringi Temple, Mahalaxmi Temple, Shinde Chhatri, Sarasbaug Ganapati Temple. Rest of the evening would be free to visit the local markets.
Night saty and dinner in the hotel.
