Detail Itinerary of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels

(09 Nights / 10 Days)

Delhi – Jodhpur – Udaipur - Chittorgarh – Sawai Madhopur – Jaipur - Khajuraho – Varanasi - Agra - Delhi

Day 1: Arrival at Delhi (Only at Friday)

Post traditional welcome by our representative at Delhi International Airport; check in at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi

Post breakfast leave for the excursion to the historic city, exploring the Jama Masjid and Rajghat.

Day 3: Board the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels

Board the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels with ceremonial greetings with traditional aarti and tika at Safdarjung Station.

Day 4: Jodhpur

Breakfast will be served on board and depart to Jodhpur at 17.10hrs. Later explore Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Lunch at hotel and dinner will be served on board.

Day 5: Udaipur – Chittorgarh

Arrival at Udaipur at 8.00hrs and breakfast will be on board. Later explore the City Palace Museum followed by lunch at hotel and later visit the Crystal Gallery. Departure for Chittorgarh at 14.30 and arrival at 16.45hrs. Explore the Palace of Queen Padmini and Gaumukh Reservoirs, Later enjoy the Light and Sound Show at the Fort and depart at 22.00hrs.

Day 6: Sawai Madhopur – Jaipur

Arrive Sawai Madhopur at 5.30hrs while breakfast served on board or at hotel Vinayak. Explore the Ranthambore National Park to catch the glimpse of wildlife and majestic tigers. En route explore Amareshwar Mohadeo Temple and depart for Jaipur at 11.00hrs. Arrive Jaipur at 13.15hrs and witness the traditional welcome by caparisoned elephants and sweet music of “Shehnai”. Later explore Hawa Mahal, enjoy elephant ride at Amber Fort and visit the bazaars for shopping. Lunch at hotel/on board and later visit to the City Palace Residence of Maharaj of Jaipur. Later Dinner at a hotel while enjoying the Cultural Program. Departure at 22.15hrs.

Day 7: Khajuraho

Post arrival at Khajuraho at 11.00hrs and breakfast on board, proceed to explore the temples of Khajuraho. Lunch at hotel and dinner on board. Departure at 18.30 hrs.

Day 8: Varanasi (Banaras)

Arrival at Varanasi at 6.00hrs which is the oldest city of the world. Lunch at hotel and dinner on board. The sightseeing tour includes the visits to Ghats, Maha Aarti, Temples and Buddhist Temples at Sarnath. Departure at 18.00hrs.

Day 9: Agra

Post arrival at Agra at 5.00hrs, breakfast will be served on board and later leave to explore the two most heritage monuments, Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Lunch at hotel and dinner will be served on board. Departure at 23.00hrs.

Day 10: Delhi

Arrival at Delhi at 7.00hrs and breakfast will be served on board. At 7.45hrs bid goodbye to the train as the journey comes to an end.

10% extra will surcharged during Christmas and New Year departures.
On total Price of Palace on Wheels there would be Service Tax @ 9 % applicable.
The above mentioned tariff is subject to change without a prior notification.
Children below the age of 5 years can travel with a 10% of charge of the total cost of the journey. For children in the age group of 5 to 12 years, half of the journey cost will be charged. At the time of issuance of tickets, age proof certificate of the child/children needs to be furnished.
For special festive departures like Christmas (25th December) and New Year (1st January), a surcharge of 10% will be added on the total fare of the Palace on Wheels train tour.
On total journey price of Palace on Wheels, Service Tax @ 9% will be applicable.
Against the payment of commercial taxes, USD 15 will be charged per pax in addition to the tariff.

Payment terms :-

For the fully Individual travellers (FITs)

50% of the tariff at the time of the confirmation of the booking.

Remaining 50% of the tariff needs to be paid 60 days prior to departure.

For group tours

50% of the tariff while confirming the booking.

Remaining 50% of the tariff 75 days prior to the journey.

Cancellation Policy :-
In case of any traveller or group want to cancel the tour, they need to intimate Palace on Wheels via fax or e-mail. The refund of the money is based on the number of days left for the departure of the train from your cancelation time and date:

For the fully Individual travellers (FITs)-

In case cancellation is made 60 days prior to departure, 80% of ticket value will be refunded.

In case cancellation is made 30-59 days prior to departure, 65% of the ticket value will be refunded.

If the travellers made the cancellation in less than 30 days before departure, 0% of ticket value will be refunded.

In case of group tours -

80% of ticket value will be returned if the tour is cancelled 60 days prior to departure.

0% of the ticket value will be returned in case the cancellation is made 0 to 59 days before departure.
